Yutang is from Suzhou and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Hohai University in Nanjing. During his degree, he ranked No. 1 in the Department of Civil Engineering. He received many honors such as Outstanding College Graduates of China Civil Engineering Society (CCES), China National Scholarship, and First Prize in Yankai Scholarship. He also earned many prizes in the provincial and national competitions for mathematics, mathematical modeling, mechanics, structural designing.

Born and raised in Indonesia, Natalia earned her Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2020. She graduated with First Class Honors and earned numerous awards and scholarships throughout her degree: HKU Foundation Scholarship, Leung Che Kwong Lai Shim Scholarship, Professor Y.K. Cheung Scholarships, and Ms. Chu Yuk Baw Prize in Civil Engineering. She visited the National Univesity of Singapore as student exchange and is currently continuing her study as Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellow. Now she is residing at Robert Black College as a Swire Scholar.

Zhang got his B.Eng. degree in Civil Engineering in 2017 and M.Eng. degree in Geotechnical Engineering in 2020. Both of them are from Tongji University. During the training at Tongji University, he earned the First Prize of Tongji Scholarship of Excellence and the Outstanding Student Award of Tongji University. Before his Ph.D. study, Zhang worked on research topics of internal erosion in earthen water retaining structures. Upon joining The University of Hong Kong, Zhang has been selected as the prestigious HKU Presidential Fellowship awardee.

Originally from Nepal, Shah obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Master's Degree (MSc) in Geotechnical Engineering from Pulchowk Engineering College of Tribhuvan University, Nepal, with a Scholarship sponsored by the Nepal Government. He also earned his second Master's Degree (MSc) in Structural and Earthquake Engineering under the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in EU-NICE, Greece. Shah also gained industrial experience as Structural Engineer at AECOM in Thailand. 

Yibo Ma obtained his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from Tongji University in 2020 and 2017, respectively. During his study at Tongji University, he was award China National Scholarship in 2016 and was selected as the Shanghai Outstanding Graduate in 2017 and a TJU Outstanding Student (2016 and 2017). He was also the winner of the 1st Prize of 2015 Mathematical Contest in Modeling at Shanghai, 2nd Prize of 2016 Think Youth-Shanghai Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, and TJU 1st Prize Scholarship for Studying Excellent in 2015. Upon joining The University of Hong Kong, Ma has been selected as the prestigious HKU Presidential Fellowship awardee.

Originally from Hong Kong, Jonathan earned his Bachelor's Degree as First Class Honors from The University of Hong Kong. He has been awarded the prestigious Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship and Y.S. and Christabel Lung Postgraduate Scholarship.

Hu got his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Master's degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Central South University in 2017 and 2020, respectively. During his studies at Central South University, he was awarded the China graduate National Scholarship in 2019 and was selected as the Hunan Outstanding Graduate in 2020 and an outstanding student of Central South University (2018 and 2019). He visited the University of New South Wales as a postgraduate student exchange (2019.9-2020.1). Before his Ph.D. study, Hu worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology for one year (2020-2021).

Liu obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2023. During his degree, he received the China National Scholarship in 2020 and was selected as the Outstanding Graduate of the Sun Yat-Sen University in 2023. He has been awarded the Y.S. and Christabel Lung Postgraduate Scholarship.

Haoyuan obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Chang An University and Master's Degree from The University of Hong Kong. During his degree, he received several honours and scholarships.

In 2017, Zhuang earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University. During his undergraduate study, he won first place in the 2016 American Mid-Pacific Geowall Competition. He was also awarded the Yang YongMan Scholarship, Zhong Tian Scholarship, The Outstanding Student of Zhejiang University, The Outstanding Class Cadre of Zhejiang University, and the 2016 HKU Civil Centennial Future Scholars award. He obtained his Ph.D. from The University of Hong Kong in 2022, was awarded the University Postgraduate Fellowship, and was part of the Christabel Lung Scholar.

Pedram FARDAD AMINI obtained his M.Sc. from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (Iran) in 2013 and Ph.D. from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong) in 2021. His major research areas are Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Improvement.

Dr. Jiang received his B.Eng. degree from Central South University (China) in 2017. He then pursued his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at Tohoku University (Japan) and successfully obtained them in 2020 and 2023, respectively. Throughout his studies at Tohoku University, he was a recipient of the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship and supported by the WISE Program for Sustainability in the Dynamic Earth. His research primarily focused on the areas of soil liquefaction and the discrete element method.

Zhang obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He continued his Master's and Ph.D. Degree from The University of Hong Kong.
